Silk-screening is usually more economical, but can become expensive if you have a logo with more than 3 or 4 colors in it. Embroidery is slightly more expensive but is quickly becoming the preferred choice for most companies today, and, unlike silk-screening, multicolor logo designs have no effect on costs. Embroidery is much higher quality than silk-screening, looks better than silk-screening, and can be utilized on nearly every fabric now available.
